MULTIMEDIA PUBLICITY CAMPAIGNS:

  • Instead of people approaching the Government for benefits, the Tamil Nadu Government reaches out to the public and embraces them with the schemes which provide benefits. This is the focus of the Multi Media Publicity Campaigns held in Tamil Nadu. Here, the District administration integrates all the Departments and organises exhibitions in the Rural Areas after assessing the necessity for conducting such shows.
  • The exhibition displays to the beneficiaries through Photos and Movies, the details about Schemes and achievements of the Government, so as to enable them to avail the benefits of schemes easily. These shows bring awareness among public and throw transparency in the implementation of the developmental schemes.
  • At these exhibition cum campaign shows, Departments display their welfare schemes exclusively through these modes. Every department while reaching out with their activities, enlightens on the eligibility for availing the benefits of the schemes.
  • Apart from this, petitions are received from the public during the camps or shows and redressed then and there on priority basis. Medical camps, Livestock camps are also conducted along with the shows and exhibition for the public. In the evening, folk dances and cuItural programmes are conducted as entertainment to the public as well as to educate them on the welfare schemes. For the purpose of organising Multimedia Campaigns, the Government have sanctioned Rs.1 lakh per district and Rs.30 lakhs for the entire state last year.
